David Wesson

David is a serial entrepreneur with numerous successful startups and exits to his credit.His first successful exit was the saleof Owen Oil Tools to Core Laboratories in 1998. He then served as President of Owen from 1998 until 2001.He co-foundedProbe Technologies in 1994 that sold to Cadent Energy for in 2008.He was also founder and CEO ofInDepthSystems in1998 (with co-investor Marathon Oil) that sold toPetrowell/Weatherford in 2010.In 2003, David foundedGEODynamics,Inc.In 2005, Shell Oil and Orica Limited invested in the company and in 2011 LimerockPartners acquired Shell and Orica’sequity stake.David went on to sell the company to Oil States International in 2018 in a cash and stock transaction valued atapproximately $600M.David served as CTO of Oil States until resigning the post in March 2020.

David has extensive international business experience in Europe / North Sea, Middle East, Mexico & Latin America, Chinaand the Far East having successful lead significant business growth in all those regions. David is the inventor or co-inventorof more than eighty US patents and has broad patent licensing and technology commercialization experience.He is aregistered professional engineer and holds a BS degree in Engineering from Texas A&M University (1982),did graduatework in Petroleum Engineering at Oklahoma University and University Of Houston and received his MBA degree fromSouthern Methodist University (EMBA 2004).

David enjoys investing in new technology and mentoring the leaders of startup companies. He is the founding Chairman ofthe Aggie Angel Network based in College Station, TX.He also serves as an advisor to McFerrin Center for Entrepreneurshipat Mays Business School.David also serves on numerous boards in the oil and gas industries as well as companies in otherindustries, including software and IoT.
